International Authentication

What is an Apostille?

An apostille is a specialized certificate issued by a designated authority that authenticates the origin of a public document. It's required under the Hague Convention of 1961 for documents to be recognized in member countries.

The apostille certifies the authenticity of the signature, the capacity in which the person signing the document acted, and where applicable, the identity of the seal or stamp on the document.

For countries not part of the Hague Convention, we also provide full consular legalization services, ensuring your documents are accepted worldwide.

Common Questions

Apostille FAQ

An apostille is a simplified form of authentication used between countries that are members of the Hague Convention (120+ countries). Legalization is a more complex process required for countries not in the Hague Convention, involving authentication by multiple authorities including the destination country's embassy. We handle both processes.

In most cases, yes. Apostille must be applied to original documents or certified copies issued by the original authority. However, some documents (like certain educational credentials) may have specific requirements. We'll advise you on the exact requirements for your specific document type and destination country.

Standard apostille processing takes 3-5 business days once we receive your documents. Express services are available with 1-2 business day turnaround. For legalization (non-Hague countries), the process typically takes 7-14 business days due to additional embassy authentication steps.

Yes, we handle documents issued by authorities worldwide. We have established relationships with authentication authorities in multiple countries and can coordinate apostille and legalization services regardless of where your documents were originally issued.
